About me

My name is Damaris, but my friends and family call me Demi. I have had the opportunity of having children in my care for the past 20 years. My life around children began long before I gave birth to my child. Around 15, I started babysitting some of our neighbors’ children. After becoming a young mother myself, I dedicated my time to getting educated and learning about early childhood & child development as well as home economics, art, and photography.

I followed up on my education at college by taking more courses such as human development, speech skills, and psychology. I have recently updated my education by focusing on infants and children. I am a certified newborn & infant care specialist.

By working with the mother and father, I can make sure that the new family member is healthy and thriving. I do this by focusing solely on the newborn or baby, providing the parents with factual information, and establishing good habits from the start, which helps them with their daily routines. This allows the parents to feel confident their child is in great hands and can get their rest day or night.

Becoming a professional newborn/infant care specialist has been rewarding many folds, as I have met a diverse range of wonderful families over the years. And yet I have not stopped learning and educating myself constantly with new courses related to infants and childcare.

My experience and expertise bring a sense of tranquility to parents and families of children in my care. I have always tried to get trust, honesty, consistency, stability, and an organic method of caregiving to these families.

I feel blessed and fortunate to be able to consider childcare as my career.

 I have been residing in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 15 years.
